Henry Loomis, Bristol, Conn., 30 hours, time and strike, weight driven wood movement pillar & scroll shelf clock, c1830
CONDITION:
Mahogany veneered case with a small piece of veneer missing on the skirt, a repair to the right scroll and a small piece missing on the right front foot. A small piece is missing on the top left chimney cap. Original hands. The wood painted dial is period and the style often found on Bristol clocks, but may be a replacement as there are a couple of extra holes for anchor pins. Original painted tablet with considerable loss. Clean label inside the case. Dust cover on the back of the case is missing. Finials are modern. Ht 29"
